About
Bassin Insurance Agency is family owned and operated by third and fourth generation insurance agents. Because of this long history of insurance, our team strives to create a lasting relationship with customers built on trust, knowledge, and personal experience. We value family here, whether it is our family or our customers family; family is family.

Kenneth Bassin, the agency owner, has been in the insurance field for over 39 years. During his four year college career at Monmouth University, he worked as Assistant Stage Manager for the Metropolitan Opera Studio as well as being a feature personality on a local New Jersey radio station. After graduating Monmouth with a BFA in Theatre Arts, he financially succeeded as a professional actor doing commercials, print, film, and stage work. Realizing his need for a more traditional profession, he began working for the New York City O.T.B. (Off Track Betting). With his natural aptitude to business he rose rapidly to the Assistant to the Director of Real Estate. Yearning to advance, he accepted a position as leasing director for Fordham Development, a Washington DC real estate developer. In 1974, he entered the Insurance Industry working for Samuel Bassin & Son, a firm started by his grandfather at 116 John St, NYC (which was then the center of the US insurance market). He spent the next few decades growing and merging with New York firms such as Mishkin, Barclay & Bassin, and Alliance Brokerage group. On the new millennium, he established Bassin Insurance Agency in Florida. During his active career, Kenneth has supported numerous charities, served on the board of many non profit organizations and has won countless awards in the insurance industry. But his main point of focus has always been the concerns of his clients. Kenneth’s passed down family quote is “insure to be sure”.
